Things clients actually ask
Cannot I just update the plugins myself?
You can, and it works right up until an update breaks the site on a Friday afternoon. We test updates before applying them and we have a backup ready when something goes wrong anyway.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
On a care plan, we restore from a clean backup and close the hole. Without one, you are calling someone in a panic, paying emergency rates, and possibly discovering your last backup is six months old.
What can I use the monthly development hours for?
Anything that is not covered by the maintenance itself: a new landing page, a design change, a new form, a plugin integration, content updates. It is your bank of hours and you decide what it goes to. The scope of what carries over each month is agreed when we set up your plan, in writing, before you pay for anything.
Do I have to have built my site with you?
No. We take over existing sites regularly. We will audit it first and tell you honestly what state it is in before we take responsibility for it.
Is this just for peace of mind, or does it actually do something?
Both. But the practical version: sites on care plans do not silently degrade, do not get hacked as often, and do not lose a week of business to a preventable outage.
